TERMS & CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS
By proceeding to book by way of paying a deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by the conditions outlined below.
DEFINITIONS
Client: the recipient of the services listed on the Services & Pricing page and name listed on the invoice.
Artist / Makeup artist: Sonia Abad Makeup
Agreement: the contract that exists between the client and Sonia Abad Makeup for the agreed fee.
Fee: the amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed on the Pricing page.
Event: Relates in principal to the date whereby the event or wedding takes place.
Party: additional members of the bridal party or any other persons needing makeup on the day of the event.
SECURING THE BOOKING OF THE EVENT
30% of the total invoice paid to the Artist will reserve your event date. Also for a makeup lesson, a minimum 50% deposit is paid at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable. Arranging a trial or lesson without payment of the deposit does not reserve the makeup artists services for the event.
For bridal makeup bookings, the makeup artist requires payment of the final balance up to 14 days before your event. If numbers of clients requiring makeup services changes, the final balance will be adjusted accordingly.
For a makeup lesson, the final 50% payment is due 7 days before the lesson is scheduled.
TRIALS
Bridal or special occasion makeup trial costs are to be paid as a deposit using the methods outlined below. If you wish to proceed with a trial, the Artist will prepare and send an invoice with payment details. The deposit for your booking for your event is non-refundable.
PRICING
The pricing quoted at the time of the booking will be honored and any general price changes between the time of booking and your wedding date will not affect your agreed fee for the services booked. Any applicable travel charges will be outlined at the time of the booking - any parking/toll/valet charges will be added to the final balance. Accommodation charges if applicable will be discussed and added to the final balance.
After confirmation of a wedding booking, should you wish to add more members of the bridal party, all you need to do is inform Sonia Abad Makeup in advance so timings can be adjusted for the day. The additional cost will be recalculated in the final balance 14 days before the wedding day. When full payment of the wedding day is received and the size the bridal party reduces on the day, this fee will be non-refundable. However, if Sonia Abad Makeup is informed in advance of 14 days before, any overpayment will be refunded or the final balance payment adjusted accordingly.
PAYMENT
Payment of services is to be made via bank transfer minimum of 14 business days prior to the service. Cash on the day is also possible.
CANCELLATIONS
In the event that the Client cancels any services before the event, the Client will not receive a refund of the deposit. All deposited monies paid by client will be refunded if contract is cancelled within three (3) days of deposit received. After the three-day grace period, should a client cancel the booked event or any service specified in the quotation, the deposit will not be refunded or transferred. If the makeup artist cancels at any time or be unable to perform her duties for any reason, the deposit paid will be fully refunded by transfer within two (2) weeks. Client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit is the only liability to Sonia Abad Makeup.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND PHOTOGRAPHY
The Artist may use on its website and/or in any advertising media is deems appropriate that is capture by the Artist. The Client also agrees to release the name and contact information of professional photographers and/or videographers used for recording any event for which the Artist has been contracted to provide services for. Unless otherwise specified by the client any digital photos taken at the trial or on the wedding day may be added to Sonia Abad Makeup’s website and/or social media.
LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: Client holds the Artist harmless for any claim, loss, damage or injury to any person or property arising, either directly or indirectly, from the Artist's performance.
LIABILITY: All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction.
GENERAL PROVISIONS:
(a) In the event the Client fails to pay any periodic or instalment payments due, the Artist may cease work without breach pending payment or resolution of dispute.
(b) The Artist shall not be liable for any delay or non-performance due to circumstances beyond the Artist’s control.
(c) The Artist is an independent contractor and not an employee of Client.
(d) Any changes to this document must be agreed upon in writing by both the Artist and the Client prior to payment of the deposit by the Client.
(e) This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Client and the Artist, and supersedes any prior understanding or representation of any kind preceding the date of this Agreement. There are no other promises, conditions, understandings or other agreements, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter of this Agreement. By paying the deposit, the Client agrees that they have read and understand all the terms and conditions outlined above. The Client also understands that the Client will be financially responsible for self, along with bridal party and all deposit(s) made are non-refundable.
